Teen author Mindy McGinnis will talk about her newest book, The Last Laugh, a young adult thriller adapted from the works of Edgar Allan Poe. Presented in partnership with Cover to Cover Books.

Join us for a visit with young adult author Mindy McGinnis. Edgar-Award winning creator of books such as The Female of the Species and Heroine, Ms. McGinnis is excited to share her newest book, The Last Laugh. This stunning sequel to The Initial Insult concludes a suspenseful YA duology filled with family secrets, heartache, and revenge.

Mindy McGinnis is the author of multiple novels that span many genres. From historical to fantasy, contemporary to gothic thriller, you can always count on Mindy’s books to deliver grit, truth, and an unflinching look at humanity and the world around us.

A ninth-generation farmer, Mindy attributes much of her character to growing up on an Ohio farm, learning the value of physical labor, and the harshness of the natural world early in life. Much of her writing reflects small-town living and aspects of rural poverty. A former school librarian, Mindy still lives and works in her hometown.

This event is presented in partnership with Cover to Cover Books for Young Readers, which will be on-site to sell copies of Ms. McGinnis’s books. A book signing will follow in Meeting Room B.

Registration is required and opens Mar. 12 at 10 am.
